Berg Larsen Saxophone Mouthpieces are used by some of the world's top professional saxophonists.
Berg originally made his name as a professional musician and whilst not working,he could be found making reeds in Archer Street London. In 1945, he designed and manufactured a range of ebonite mouthpieces for clarinet and saxophone which later evolved into a range made out of stainless steel for an increased lifespan. Although Berg died in 1972, his name lives on. Today, we can offer a wide variety of mouthpieces in various different materials and styles.

Today, the name Berg Larsen in synonymous with hand crafted mouthpieces for saxophones. Skilled craftsmen use ten machining processes to create each Berg Larsen mouthpiece. Each one is individually hand finished and inspected to ensure the Berg Larsen reputation for quality is maintained. As well as using a variety of materials in the construction of our mouthpieces, they have a comprehensive range of tip openings, to be sure that there is a mouthpiecefor EVERYONE.

I use the Berg 80/2 in jazz settings and pit orchestras. Solid mouthpiece and nice alternative to the Meyer 6. Plays very even in tone and intonation. Love the quick response!

The King of Modern Mouthpieces!

I bought a Hard Rubber Berg about 4 years ago, and haven't looked back since! I play on a 120/1/M, which is, according to the Berg tip opening chart, actually a tenor sax tip opening. It lets me really rip into loud passages and blast altissimo, but still go down to a nice subtone for ballads. The "1" baffle is the 2nd brightest one Berg makes, it's great for lead and solo playing, without that dry, piercing David Sanborn-esque tone (which you can probably get if you choose the "0" baffle). In my opinion, this is the best jazz mouthpiece available on the market. It has dominated every other mouthpiece I've tried - even metal mouthpieces like Otto Link and Meyer! The only other mouthpiece I would upgrade to is a metal Berg... and that's only if this one ever breaks!
