The mouthpiece can sound bright and powerful or dark and mellow due to the patented removable baffle called a spoiler. With the spoiler in place, the sound is great for many styles of music including jazz, rock, funk, and top 40. Without the spoiler, the roundish square chamber takes over and produces a dark, focused sound that is great for concert band and small ensembles.
